Man, is there anything better than when Strange Maps digs up something related to New York? No. No there is not. Today the site points us to artist Melissa Gould's Neu-York project, which imagines what the city might look like if the Germans had been victorious in World War II. All of the maps, and there are 21 of them in all, are based on New York circa 1939, so post-war urban planning achievements such as Lincoln Center are absent. Apparently Hitler wasn't a big opera fan?
