Burg Craned Again as Hard Steel Rises on Union Avenue

New, 5 comments

Another crane has temporarily appeared on the Williamsburg skyline. This one is east of the BQE on Union Avenue in the booming construction zone around Union, Ainslie and Keap Street where a boatload of condos are under construction. This one is 405 Union Avenue, which is a six-story Karl Fischer production with 47 units. It is directly across the street from a Michael Muroff-designed condo called 385 Union Plaza. (Muroff is behind an interesting building at 111 Kent, going up across the street from The Edge.) The Union Avenue building will have six stories and 47 condos. Neither are to be confused with a building on the other side of the street at 378 Union from Kutnicki Bernstein. It's a six-story building with 41 condos. They're responsible for 53 Broadway in the burg among many other things.
