Escaping Death

Call it another nail in the, uh, coffin of the charming way that neighborhood business is sometimes done in Brooklyn. The Carroll Gardens Neighborhood Association which held its monthly meetings at the Scotto Funeral Home, in one of the viewing rooms and often next to a wake, is moving its sessions to a meeting room at a nearby church senior home. No longer can one pay one's respects and catch a rezoning discussion in one drop by. Ah, change. [PMFA]
