For all the Sturm und Drang about development in Carroll Gardens, a boomlet has been going on in parts of Boerum Hill as well. There was a brief outburst of angst a couple of years ago when plans for 380 Baltic sparked an uproar, but it quickly quieted down. As it turned out, a leader of the opposition sold his home to the developer of the 11-story condo in question for $1.25 million. That site will turn into a five-story building with seven condos from the same developer as taller 380, which will have 36 condos. Meanwhile, Baltic House up the block--whose name reminds us of a B&B one might find in a seaside town in Latvia--is on the market and promising intimacy "with the luxury of a Manhattan condo."
380 Baltic Street is in the home stretch.
