CurbedWire: BelDel Gets Glassed, Brooklyn Gets Classed!

New, 6 comments

BELDEL—Things are getting glassy down below Delancey on the Good Old Lower East Side. Above left, the scaffolding is down at the new development on the corner of Ludlow and Broome, while at right, old friend 50 Orchard Street is really looking the part. [CurbedWire Inbox]

BROOKLYN—It's awards season, friends, so why not let buildings get in on the act? From a press release: "The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its call for nominations for the 8th Annual Building Brooklyn Awards, which recognizes the buildings, storefronts, adaptive reuse projects, renovations, and capital improvements that enrich our neighborhoods and economy. We are currently accepting nominations for recently completed projects that have a permanent or temporary certificate of occupancy filed by December 31, 2007." Ouch, North8, tough break on that last bit. Nominees welcomed here. [CurbedWire Inbox]
