On the Racked: Inside Zada Hadid's Orb, Broadway Mind Bender, Soho Stores That Blow, More

New, 1 comment

And now the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) UES: Have an advance look inside Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid's Orb of Insanity, otherwise known as the Chanel Mobile Art Pavilion, courtesy of WWD. It opens to the public on Monday.

2) Soho: Minds be blown: J.Crew will be opening another men's shop (a la their Liquor Store location) in the space that currently houses Universal News at 484 Broadway, which is right next door to the giant Topshop store set to open in March.

3) Union Square: Levi's isn't taking sides in the election, but it's got nonpartisan, patriotic windows displaying the simple imperative "VOTE" and the good old Statue of Liberty, "just to get you in the mood." If you're appropriately economically stimulated, maybe you'll come back and buy some pants.

4) Soho: Yeah, it's fall, but these stores on West Broadway still really blow.
