Steve Cuozzo reports that rumors of the hotel boom's demise have been greatly exaggerated, maybe: "After sitting on the northwest corner of Broadway and West 54th Street for seven years, developer Harry Gross finally appears ready to move on his joint-venture hotel project with Marriott International. In the past week, all the retail tenants in the two- story buildings closed down for good...The project is expected to be a 389-room Marriott Courtyard." [NYP, third item]
