There is blood flowing down First Street in Park Slope and pooling up in the Gowanus Valley. This beauty on First Place first went on the market for $3.489M back in June before the world came to an end. It got a gruesome visit from the PriceChopper in early October and he whacked it down to $3.289M. But, our Chopster's bloodlust is rarely satisfied, especially in this time of, uh, uncertainty. So, six days ago, the Chopmeister turned on the chainsaw again and took off another $300K, bringing it down to $2.989M. The place, by the way, is described as a "Rare and elegant semi-detached circa 1902 quadruple parlor center stair mansion. Cherished by the same family for nearly a half century, this exceptional brownstone sits just a few steps from Prospect Park on one of the neighborhoods most desirable and coveted prime tree-lined park blocks." (This was, ironically, Brownstoner's "House of the Day" yesterday.) How much lower will they go the next time our bloodthirsty pal shows up? We hear somebody on Fourth Avenue called the DEP to clean the storm drain because the blood is pooling up.
