On the Racked: Human Vending Machines, Reebok Gets Geometric, Mercedes Gets German, More

New, 2 comments

And now the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Times Square: There was turnout today for Uniqlo's "human vending machine" although Racked thinks "the real thing wasn't as cool as the rendering, we were nonetheless impressed by the effort." Free Heat Tech innerwear was dispensed nonetheless.

2) LES: That Rebok pop-up store is very--how to put it?--very geometric. In fact, it's a geometric wonderland: "the store's interior is all weird angles and criss-crossing lines. Some of the shoes sit on the walls, but others rest on the slanting tops of trapezoidal platforms."

3) Far West Side: That Mercedes Benz showroom on Eleventh Avenue is going to be getting a whole new look come 2011.

4) Flatiron: Over at Anthropologie, they're dreaming of a white paper Christmas.
