As mentioned this morning, a five-bedroom apartment on the 78th floor of the south tower of the Time Warner Center is asking $65 million in exchange for its glassy embrace. That makes it the current "official" most expensive listing on the Manhattan market, but as a commenter pointed out: "Nice but Trump still has the views at Columbus Circle." Look at the TWC listing photos and it's a tough point to argue. It reminds us of when the Time Warner Center was under construction, and The Donald decided to send a message to prospective buyers via a sign hung from the top of his Trump International Hotel & Tower. We went looking for a photo, because it's Thanksgiving week and we're bored.
It's a little tough to make out, but it reads, "Your views aren't so good, are they? We have the real Central Park views and address. Best wishes, 'The Donald.'" Indeed, that's The Donald for you, always adding a touch of class to his projects. Photo via Carter B. Horsley's City Review.
