What's a gloomy November day without some Coney Island merriment? It turns out there were more weird renderings that came out of the Municipal Art Society's Imagine Coney session than were originally distributed, so we figured we'd put up the whole bunch of them. The Coney Visions gallery section where people have submitted ideas has some gems too, like a 180-story Half Moon Tower that would have 6,000 condos, the world's biggest salt water jacuzzi, and seven amusement-themed retail malls. We always thought that Thor Equities simply wasn't thinking big enough. Then, there's the Global Village where "real people of all social classes will be imported to live in their native spaces from Japanese Yakuza gangsters to Parisian junkies." Oh, those are just a couple of the highlights.
