Eater Tastings: Jean-Georges Gets Ago Space, McNally Boards Up Minetta, Wolfgang Rocks, More!

New, 1 comment

This week's top dish from Eater, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1) LOLville: The Eater Giveaway Extravaganza is in full swing, and if the above Thomas Keller PhotoShop submissions don't just make your day, then we envy your exciting life.

2) Tribeca: The disastrous Ago, panned by critics since opening in De Niro's Greenwich Hotel, will soon shutter to make way for a new restaurant from Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Mama Mia!

3) Greenwich Village: The storied Minetta Tavern is now in the grips of Keith McNally, and the place now sports his trademark aggressive plywood.

4) East Village: Recession specials are sweeping through the city, and Momofuku Noodle Bar's new prix fixe menu is bordering on being classified as such.

5) Gramercy Irving Plaza, pardon, The Fillmore at Irving Plaza is handing the keys (or naming rights) to its concession/bar areas to Wolfgang Puck. Odd.
