Norman Foster's Bowery Gallery Already Making New Friends

New, 2 comments

What do friendly vegan Moby and controversial architect Robert Scarano have in common? Why, 52 East 4th Street (aka 52E4), of course! In a splashy Post feature today on the hot-hot-HOT Bowery, the musician is reported to have added an apartment in the 15-story Scarano-on-the-Bowery to his vast real estate portfolio. Meanwhile, the building, once said to be sold out, still has two units on the market. But that's not all the wackiness going on! The story highlights other high-end Bowery development of the past, present and future, and one project that caught our eye is 263 Bowery, a restaurant supply store that was demolished over the summer. Located a few doors down from Norman Foster's future gallery building, the new 263 Bowery will be a "five-unit residential building...from developer Shaky Cohen." And guess who's name appears on the "enlargement" permit: Karl Fischer! Wowzers, Karl Fischer and Robert Scarano in the same Curbed post? Our work here is done!
