When Courtney Love exited celeb-friendly loft building 30 Crosby Street in a haze of handcuffs and underwear, relieved Soho residents were probably thanking their lucky stars, especially after Mad Love honed in on a West Village townhouse. But you're not out of the woods yet, Soho! Braden Keil reports that Courtney sent in her 16-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain to check out a penthouse at newish loft conversion 115 Mercer Street, the sole remaining digs in the 8-unit condominium. The angular duplex?with gobs of terraces perfect for hurling makeup and shoes off of?was initially listed for nearly $8 million, but dropped to an asking price of $6,490,000 over the past two years. The other penthouse in the building recently sold for $6.5M. We couldn't help but wonder what Frances's dad would make of the brokerbabble that kicks off the listing: "In the heart of Soho on arguably the most exclusive cobblestone block, this sundrenched collector-quality penthouse is suitable only for the most discerning buyer." Wasn't that the chorus to "Territorial Pissings?"
