Brookyn's Landlord-Tenant Divide

New, 2 comments

Who knew? Landlords and tenants often see things differently, especially in Brooklyn which seems to be full of more peculiar tenants and even more insane landlords than other boroughs. (We have not statistical proof of this.) "This is the landlord-tenant language divide. Tenants often complain their landlord hikes up rent, adds fees or takes their time to do necessary repairs. Landlords complain of their high property taxes, late rent checks and the cost of maintaining properties. On each side is a gut reaction to what a space should lease for, and often, neither is interested in the other's cost-related woes." And, then, our landlord wanted to raise our $1,450 a month rent. Crap cakes. [TRE]
