The Curbed Cup, our annual Neighborhood the Year competition, swung into high-gear yesterday with the first two Round 1 matchups. As expected, the top two seeds made quick work of the competition. Bracket favorite the High Line District trashed poor Hudson Square in a 299-123 vote, and #2 seed Madison Square Park sent the Grand Street Environs back over the Williamsburg Bridge, taking a whopping 80 percent of the vote. We'll have two more face-offs coming up later today. May the best microhood win!
