Curbed Cup: 1st Round Recap

New, 7 comments

The final two battles in the opening round of Curbed's Neighborhood of the Year competition are now finished. Nolita, our (underestimated?) #10 seed, throttled #7 G-Slope by taking 69% of the vote. In the #8/#9 matchup, the Far West Village took care of business against Rich Man's Tribeca for the second year in a row. Those two victorious microneighborhoods fill out the Elite 8, joining the High Line District, Madison Square Park, Old East Village, Downtown Brooklyn, Red Hook Waterfront and Inland Long Island City. The Curbed Cup will now take a two-day Christmas breather and resume on Friday with the first two scrums of the second round. Competitors: Start your robocalling!
