Editta Sherman, the 96-year-old photographer who said she'd only vacate her $530/month rent-stabilized studio above Carnegie Hall for a $10 million buyout, has been issued an eviction notice by the state. Carnegie Hall has been clearing out tenants from the studios above the concert hall in a bid to add more classroom and office space. Sherman is vowing to fight, telling the Post, "They'll have to drag me out. They'll have to use their bare hands." Carnegie Hall wants to relocate rent-stabilized tenants "to equivalent or superior apartments in the neighborhood, paying any differential in rent for the remainder of their lives."
