As the Apthorp Turns

And the award for craziest new twist in the saga of the Upper West Side's most controversial rental-to-condo conversion goes to...this Real Deal report on Lev Leviev! The Apthorp's co-owner, currently suing the other co-owner, floated a plan in November to sell the building for $552 million, according to court records. The Apthorp board of directors agreed to hire CB Richard Ellis to market the building, but managing partner Maurice Mann rejected it. Mann's lawyer denies all of this. [Real Deal, previous]
