The double-wide townhouse at 14-16 East 67th Street is best known as the Bob Guccione Mansion, though Brown Harris Stevens would appreciate it if you referred to it solely as the Milbank Mansion. That's because Guccione lost possession of the house several years back, and when you're trying to sell something for $99 million, it helps if the "Caligula" connections aren't so obvious. But after years of rotating asking prices and on-and-off listings, Braden Keil reports that the massive townhouse has a buyer?hedge-fund manager Philip Falcone, who owns a townhouse on the very same block. No word yet on the price, but it will no doubt smash the current townhouse record of $53 million paid by J. Christopher Flowers (he's in The Killers, right?) for the Harkness Mansion on East 75th Street. Congrats, Phil, and you might want to invest in some chlorine.
