Let us now take a very visual look at the latest architecture and design news as revealed on our West Coast outposts, Curbed LA and Curbed SF, this week.
1) SF: Check out San Francisco's own version of the Hudson Yards developer face-off: the battle for Sewall Lot 337, also known as "the current parking area for AT&T Park." First plan out of the gate is the glory seen above, presented by the Giants. Yes, there will be bowling.
2) LA: It's a new luxury condo development in Monterey Park, and it's called MIRA. Says the developer: "I decided to rename it MIRA, in Spanish is 'Look,' in Latin is a word for 'Wonderful' and in Chinese, it sounds like 'American-Chinese.' It is also the name of a binary star in the constellation Cetus." Deep.
3) SF: A street art trend hitting The Haight before Brooklyn? Sadness!
