The soon-to-be-empty Pfizer plant in Williamsburg, which some are suggesting should be seized via eminent domain for a big affordable housing development, is actually a "National Historic Chemical Landmark." The Williamsburg plant was nominated "for its discoveries that led to mass production of penicillin during World War II." It's unclear if being a "chemical landmark" also makes something a toxic one.
