Another Shot of the New Williamsburg at 175 Kent

New, 9 comments

If the Burg is hungry for some big-box convenience at 502 Metropolitan, it will definitely be starving for some on Kent Avenue. This is 175 Kent, a building that will sit on part of the site of a former concrete plant across the site from 184 Kent which will itself be turned into something with a lot of apartments and retail at some point. In any case, 175 Kent is being developed by the Chetrit Group, like its cousin at 502 Metropolitan on the other side of the BQE. It will have nearly 24,000 square feet of retail space, marketed by by the Winnick Group. (It's hard to see in the rendering, but the sample tenant at the corner of the building at N. 3rd and Kent says "bank.") The building itself will be seven stories and have 112 units. It comes from Meltzer/Mandl and all the permits for it were issued at the end of January.
