Usually, the Rendering/Reality game serves the purpose of pointing out some discrepancies in what developers promise, and what they then deliver. Sometimes the differences are major, sometimes they're minor. Hey, it's hard predicting how something will turn out when it's all said and done. But in the case of former Development Du Jour Chatham 44 in Hell's Kitchen, we actually labeled the photos incorrectly at first. That's how freakishly close they are. While the plywood in the rendering tripped is up, we should have realized that no tree could possibly grow so lush in Hell's Kitchen. Chatham Development Company, Stephen B. Jacobs Group and Ingenuity Engine, we've got to hand it to all of you: What we saw is what we got.
