More New Look Williamsburg: The Edge Revealed

New, 62 comments

Anyone familiar with Kent Avenue in the Burg, probably knows the huge pit where The Edge is under construction. Well, not much longer. Sales start in April, and we got our hands on some hot renderings of what the final product will look like. Phase One, which is going up now will have 575 units and is supposed to be ready for move in next summer. The South Edge is a 30-story tower with 370 condos ranging from 490-square-foot studios to 2,075-square-foot three bedrooms. The 15-story North Edge will have 205 units, from 570-square-foot studios to 2,275-square-foot three bedrooms. Prices start at $420K and move up quickly from there. Architecture is from the Stephen B. Jacobs Group and interiors are Andi Pepper. The "spectacular 40,000 square foot amenity space" includes a year-round, open-air pool, with outdoor terrace overlooking Manhattan, two fully fitness facilities, a yoga studio, and a multi-purpose recreation room," plus an on-site spa with a co-ed sauna. There will also be 60,000 square feet of undetermined retail. Given all that, who cares about the Fresh Direct fridge? Oh, little Burg, you've come a long way.
