The Renwick Fully Revealed: Hot Chicks in the Sticks

New, 15 comments

Right now, Renwick Street has to be the most depressing street in Manhattan. Already boxed in by the West Side Highway and Holland Tunnel traffic, this one-block connector between Canal and Spring in Hudson Square sees only the occasional cab and fire truck, and the rest of the time is blocked by construction equipment. Going up is the eloquent No. 22 Renwick, from the shop of Philip Johnson-Alan Ritchie Architects, and the previously-revealed Ismael Leyva 13-story job across the street, at 15-21 Renwick. It's Leyva's work that now enters the spotlight, because a teaser website has been launched for the condo building, now called The Renwick and headed up by CORE Marketing Group. Tellingly, the video clip on the site?starring a bunch of models, naturally?doesn't appear to contain a single shot filmed on Renwick Street. Meanwhile, over on Leyva's website, a new series of renderings are displayed for all to see. And Ismael, we really can't thank you enough. You knew how much we loved your work on YVES, so you dropped one roughly 100 paces from Curbed HQ.
