In addition to Webster Hall, the LPC will vote on a few other notable buildings and districts today, including the Fiske Terrace-Midwood Park area in Central Brooklyn, the old 11th Street Public Baths building between Avenues A and B, One Chase Manhattan Plaza and the West Chelsea Historic District. One designation we're particularly interested in is the extension of the Noho Historic District, a proposal that led to the demolition of the gorgeous 30 Great Jones Street screw factory building because the owner didn't want to get stuck with a landmark on his hands. Or so we assume. [LPC public meeting calendar; warning: PDF]
