We've just started skimming Michael Idov's meaty hit piece (seven virtual pages!) on the Trump Soho condo-hotel in this week's New York, but the story's subhed is probably a better summary than any we're going to come up with: "It's a 46-story skyscraper being built on a graveyard that's brought together shadowy Russians and a billionaire brand name to attract internationals in a zoning-skirting scheme that's enraged the neighborhood, sent glass shattering to the street, and killed a construction worker. It's New York in the aughts, and inside there's a luxury suite just for you." Kiss the next 20 minutes of your life goodbye. [NYM]
