"I looked at a 1-bedroom years ago (mid 90s) that was not on the walk but on the ground floor of the adjacent building (kind of one building, actually, hard to explain). That got you a key to the mews and supposedly you were allowed to hang out there. It was adorable, but like living in a Barbie house. The kitchen was made out of a closet and there was no room for a fridge so the owner had a fridge IN THE LIVING ROOM! Also, the tiny bedroom was on the street side so you had people walking by at night yakking it up about 12 inches from your head as it rested on the pillow. I recall back then it was under 200K!!!"
