On the Racked: Doing It by the Pound, Auto Yard Sale, Aloha to Rags, Supine in Bushwick

New, 2 comments

And now, the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Midtown: Watch people buy clothing at By The Pound in this Racked photo gallery. See them line up. Watch them dig through containers of merchandise. Observe as they put it in their bags. Nasty, but fun.

2) MePa: For a different kind of scene, also captured via photo gallery, there's the outdoor Auto yard sale in the store's tented backyard garden. A gorgeous day + 50 percent off everything.

3) Hudson Square: There is nothing yard sale-like about Aloha Rag's new outpost at 505 Greenwich. It's a "stark, white rectangular showcase for racks of amazing clothing and a small assortment of well-edited accessories."

4) Buswick: The photos of street artist Judith Supine's installation "Dirt Mansion" at English Kills Art Gallery are very, very cool.
