It's been a while since we had any news from our old friend 110 Livingston, but there is an update: The Issue Project Room, a Gowanus-based organization which used to be canal-side and has been in some temporary space in a big complex at Third Street and Third Avenue will be occupying the ground floor theater space in the building. That's the easy part, as the group is now trying to raise $2 million to make the move. The city required a space for the arts when it sold 110 Livingston to Two Trees Management. The group plans to build "a permanent home for the future of experimental culture." Hopefully, residents are happier now than some have previously been.
