The practice of developers partnering with churches to build apartments on holy land has gotten so common in Harlem and Washington Heights that "faith-based development" forums and courses are necessary to protect the interests of the churches. They are meant to help pastors "make the best of a difficult situation," the difficult situation being, of course, gentrification. That was one of the plagues, right? [Sun]
