TKTS Raises Red Treads to Nowhere

New, 8 comments

The slow-to-rise Stairway to Nowhere that is going up in the heart of Times Square is seeing red these days. Red glass that is, in the form of 4-ply treads and risers which are being stacked up above the glistening white pod where TKTS ticket sellers will be housed once this project is complete. The gang in charge has missed a deadline or two, but work has recently picked up. Folks are hoping that the big red steps will be finished in time to allow tread-sitters to catch any scary market action on the humungo NASDAQ screen on the other side of the Square.
