The first weekday of the "indefinite" suspension of Park Slope alternate side parking, which will either be the best thing ever or a hellish nightmare--kicked off with confusion and what appeared to be harder parking. Not everyone that was parked on the Monday side had heard the news or believed it. Others said they'd never move their car again. For instance, after parking, one person said: "I intend to leave it there until it rusts into a little heap." Hey, saves on gas. [NYT; previously]
