As it turns out bees like New York City real estate, "from the water towers that dot the rooftops to the cornices and overhangs that adorn the buildings." And, this is the time of year when our little buzzing friends tend to swarm at those site and scare people. Sadly, the lifespan of the average NYC honey bee is one-fourth that of its farm cousins, but they do occupy pricier turf. [NYT]
