And now the latest from Racked, covering retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Long Island City: Finally, a Starbucks is finally coming to LIC. Wait, you mean it's only a kiosk in the lobby of the Citibank Building and not an actual Starbucks in, say, Queens West?

2) Boerum Hill: Steven Alan, a go-to store for classic men's and women's basics from a well-edited group of designers, will be opening somewhere on Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill. Per Racked, it's a "big boost" for South Brooklyn shopping.

3) Noho: Payless, designer and stylist Patricia Field hosted a group of writers and fashion bloggers at 306 Bowery last night. Nevermind all that, however, you have to see the poofy little dog sitting decoratively in the middle of it all.

4) Soho: Racked recon reveals Cali skate/surf/snowboarding brand Volcom is almost ready to "invade" our city with their first New York store at 446 Broadway.
