The six-unit Tribeca Townhomes building at 16 Warren Street has been listed with Brown Harris Stevens for about two months. In that somewhat brief period, one unit has gone into contract?a 3BR, 3BA duplex priced at $4,175,000. Apparently there were no other takers, because a few days ago, the remaining five units were all PriceChopped. The one mentioned above is the biggest, another 3BR, 3BR duplex. Just behind that is the penthouse, reduced $675,000 to a new asking price of $8.5 million. According to the listings, the 10-story Tribeca Townhomes has a "façade of steel, glass and honed granite" that's "elegantly nestled in between Tribeca's historic buildings." Maybe Tribeca buyers just prefer the old over the new?
