It's always the condos' fault. This bit of neighborhood friendly appeared recently on N. 10 Street in the Burg, on the site of a loft building that was demolished to make way for a new development. In this case, the graffiti should say "Welcome to Renterburg," because the luxe development that displaced the artists in question is a big rental building financed by Lehman Brothers and the California State Teachers Retirement Fund at 40 Berry Street designed by Perkins Eastman. The 142-unit required the demolition of an old building at 99 N. 11, which is the source of the graffiti. It's part of the ongoing "Condoburg" graffiti campaign.
