Two Trees Next to TJ's Building Shows Itself on Atlantic Avenue

New, 17 comments

Moving slightly down Atlantic Avenue from the popular Brooklyn House of Detention, we come to the new development from Two Trees Management that is best known for being next to to the very slloooowwwww moving Brooklyn Trader Joe's site and for the huge stink about the extra height developer David Walentas was trying to get on the roof. Lost City notes incredible progress on the building, with the scaffolding down and the entire building up in about six months. This is what the building looked like as recently as February. "It doesn't look absolutely terrible," he writes. "The brick color is somewhat in keeping with the neighborhood. It's very window-y." Oh, but wait, "these mildly positive comments do not erase the fact that this is basically crapitecture." And it was going so nicely for a moment there.
