What an East Village Waterfall Might Look Like

New, 10 comments

In advance of artist Olafur Eliasson's much-hyped NYC waterfalls project, blog East Village Podcasts put up a bizarre but fun poll asking where an East Village waterfall should go. At the time, we asked someone to mock up some renderings of the nominees?Houston and First Avenue, at Sophie's bar on East 5th Street, next to the Cooper Square Hotel and above Ukrainian diner Veselka. And wouldn't you know it, EVP went ahead and dusted off the Photoshop. Above, our favorite of the bunch, the Veselka NYC waterfall. Despite the glorious thought of waterfront pierogies, the intersection of Houston and First Avenue is in the lead.
