The long talked about new Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg should be coming by Fall or, at least, by the end of the year. Brooklyn Based had a chat with the owners, who previously operated Wetlands, and got some details about the new venue, which will be located at 61 Wythe Avenue, behind the Brooklyn Brewery and across the street from the possible future Hotel Walentas. It will be a 20,000 square foot venue with 16 lanes for bowling, a 600-capacity music venue and a restaurant. One of the owners says "We just think bowling and rock 'n roll go together." They didn't disclose the identity of the operator of the "major food component." Department of Buildings records show that the designer for the project is New York Design Architects, whose very long list of clients includes the Hustler Club and Chipotle Grill. Things are going to be getting interesting on Wythe Avenue.
