$64M Sloane Mansion Must Be Protected From the Merely Rich

New, 8 comments

The Daily News got a peek inside the Sloane Mansion, the 36-foot-wide East 68th Street townhouse listed for a whopping $64 million, and the above is what they came away with. Nothing too stunning, but check out the strict orders Brown Harris Stevens broker Paula Del Nunzio is operating under: "Even if you wanted to see this home, you couldn't. Until now, no newspaper reporter has been inside the mansion, nor have detailed photographs been allowed. Del Nunzio still has strict orders not to allow us upstairs. 'Only qualified buyers get to see the entire home,' she says. 'Part of my job is to protect the property. No unqualified buyer has been allowed this far in.'" Well, after six months on the market, maybe they should be?
