What is it about unfinished swimming pools that draws the curious eye? Maybe it's just fun to document that exact moment right before things get sexy. Whatever it is, a Curbed tipster with a great view of the newly-opened Thompson LES's third-floor pool deck sent along a current photo of the hot-spot-to-be. Above, you see a rendering of what Thompson Hotels has planned for the space, featuring a pool lined with a Gerard Malanga photomural of Andy Warhol. In this week's Observer, Chris Shott reports that the pool is expected to open on October 15, just in time to miss out on all the warm weather. Will they meet this target, given all the other delays at Thompson properties?
