The effort to landmark the Woodhaven Lanes in Glendale, which would have been the city's first bowling alley landmark, has failed. The Landmarks Preservation Commission has denied the application to designate the lanes where "Jackpot Bowling" was shot in the late 1950s. The 60-lane alley shuttered in May. [NYDN]
