Summer '09 Looking Good for Williamsburg's 184 Kent

New, 11 comments

We turn our attention to our longstanding obsession, 184 Kent Avenue, scene of a nasty landmarking fight in 2005-06 and a subsequent change in developers and reemergence as a rental property taking advantage of Historic Preservation Tax Credits. The building has recently acquired signs promoting its retail space, telling prospective tenants they can be "part of history" and one of those "What's Going on Here?" signs that notes the completion date at 2009. Meanwhile, JMH Development's website has some interesting renderings and wording about how it will "maintain the integrity of the original design" by Cass Gilbert.
