Staten Island's St. George neighborhood?which, if our SI geography is correct (and it probably isn't), is the part near the Ferry Terminal?has been branded as Shaolin's hipster enclave in the past. And apparently it's true! Per Gothamist, the area now has its own anti-hipster and anti-yuppie graffiti, indicating the beginning of an inevitable backlash to a process of gentrification that we didn't really believe was actually underway. Developers: begin accumulating waterfront property now.
