There was concern in the Burg this morning that Hot Karl may have gotten so hot that he caught fire. Per a tipster: "On my way to the subway this morning I could see the smoke, then the firetrucks came (lots of them), and the firemen began running around North Sixth and Berry. That seemed to be where the smoke was, but apparently they couldn't find anything because then they moved a truck to N. 7th and a bunch of guys ran over there. One went into 7Berry, but while I was there they definitely never figured out what was hot-hot-hot...no flames were forthcoming." [CurbedWire Inbox]
