Mayor Bloomberg welcomed Brett Favre with a $4 green & gold MetroCard. He probably told Favre the green 4 looming over 4 Times Square was in his honor too. I figured that was an insult, so Friday afternoon I delivered 10 cases of Old Milwaukee beer, 7 six-packs of high-octane Starbucks Frappuccinos, and some roach-truck cheese burritos to the construction crew at a Long Island City condo development. After just a few hours we'd managed to remove the drab new cladding and reveal the undergarments of the building (pictured above on Saturday morning) to welcome Brett to NYC. —Restless
