Moonstruck House Finally Sold After $1M PriceChop

New, 3 comments

We can't let any more time pass without noting the sale of the Moonstruck House in Brooklyn Heights. The good news, of course, is that it went for almost $4 million. The bad news is that it's a blood gushing, gore everywhere PriceChop of more than $1 million as the original asking price two-and-a-half years ago was $5 million. The price history of the house is fascinating in a car accident kind of way. It was listed in the heady days of 2006 (remember them?) for $5M. Last spring Streeteasy showed it listed at $4.25M. Then, the PriceChopper came calling again, leading to a "fresh listing" at $3.95M, which is apparently where the market and Moonstruck found a point of agreement. The buyer apparently bit because it was the "right house in the right place in the right condition." Okay. And, maybe, $1M less than originally priced, perhaps?
