While landlords' groups fight the new legislation that allows tenants to sue for harassment, one such case is now making news. Pinnacle Group, which has been under fire for allegedly trying to muscle out rent-stabilized tenants, is being sued by residents at 668 Riverside Drive, at 144th Street. Pinnacle is trying to convert the six-story building to condos, but tenants want the "mold, constantly leaking pipes, rotting wood, fallen ceilings, and dangerous electrical environments" fixed before the conversion can take place.
